Description
This painting, “The Dance of the Queens”, was painted in 2015. It is numbered 486 and was created using oil paint. It is part of a series of small paintings created after attending a Queens’ fight of the Hérens cattle breed in Valais (CH). I attended several fights from the front row, admiring this centuries-old tradition, where the crowned queen becomes an honor for her breeder and all her offspring. The cows have numbers and names, sometimes very amusing ones. I loved the incredible energy that such a fight represents. Tons of muscle clashing together. Spectators sometimes have to step back.
Its title, work number, year of creation, and my name are affixed to the back of the painting, and you can find it in my catalogue raisonné.
By hand-signing its certificate of authenticity, you have my guarantee of the provenance and legitimacy of this painting, which is a unique piece from my collection.

We do not refund the painting, but can create a credit note to be used for another painting. However, return shipping costs will be at your expense, and the credit will be created once the original painting is returned (and its condition examined).
